Elks Lodge 590 members,

 Please come to "Steppin Out in September" a benefit for Girls on the Run Johnson County on Sept. 26th from 6 p.m. - midnight at the Elks Lodge 590.  The blues band Van and the Movers will be playing plus there will be a silent auction and food from Catered by Charlotte along with a cash bar.  The Iowa vs Penn State game will be televised so come watch the game, dance, eat and support both the Elks Lodge and Girls on the Run! 

 Tickets are just $25 and can be bought online at www.girlsontherunjocoia.org or by contacting Sarah Knebel at sarahandtomknebel@msn.com.  Tickets will also be sold at the door.  You must be 21 to attend.

Texas Hold 'Em

Third Wednesday means Poker Tourney.  Game starts at 8 p.m. with $25 buy-in.  Dinner starts at 5:30 with $9.95 steak special.

Defibrillator training

A reminder that we will have a training session for the use of our new defibrillator now located inside the Pro Shop door.  The session will start at 4 p.m. in the Lodge and all members are welcome to attend.

Our refrigerator in the pool shack has broke down.  We would like to know if any our members have a second hand refrigerator with freezer they would like to donate to the Lodge.  Call Kevin at 351-3700 if you have such an item.

Reminder next Tuesday 6/160  7 to 9 p.m. we hope to hold a wine tasting.. Sign-up for the event has been underwhelming. 
We need to have response by Thursday 6/11 to place our order.  If turnout looks too small we will have to postpone the event.
